Alexie has joined The Valley Law Group as a Paralegal. She has always desired to work in the legal field and plans to go to law school in the future. Alexie prides herself on her ability to assess different situations and find ways to resolve issues while emotionally connecting with others. Alexie is a West Coast native and has lived in five different states. Alexie attended the University of Oregon twice and refers to herself as a “double-duck” as she has obtained both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees there.
Alexie is a well accomplished Scholar who has not limited herself to one area of study, and learned to pivot from a social science background to the STEM field as the pandemic discouraged her from immediately attending law school upon graduating with her bachelor’s. She has received a full-ride scholarship for her undergraduate studies, participated in and is still actively a McNair Scholar. Upon entering graduate school, Alexie was elected as the Vice President of her cohort, an Admissions Ambassador, and participated in the voluntary global competition for the CFA Institute. Alexie is actively working towards fluency in Farsi, Spanish and Japanese. Alexie has competed in Mock Trial, and was recruited to join the National Honors Society, The National Society of Leadership and Success, and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Alexie loves to read and write and is constantly looking for new demanding material to connect with. She has done extensive community outreach throughout and upon graduating high school and actively tries to find ways to create safe spaces for those who exist inside and outside of her community.
Alexie’s career path has been anything but linear. She has worked in the healthcare field as an at-home direct support professional, as well as in the office as a mental health administrative manager. She has also worked in Crypto and business development and done venture capital pitching to investors. Additionally, she has worked in portfolio management, and the legal field as a paralegal and experienced numerous faucets of legal matters particularly in property disputes, family law, and business contract drafting. Alexie enjoys working in a way that has a direct impact. That is what made Alexie interested in the legal field, and in Family Law specifically. Alexie is excited to gain more experience in the legal field, and pursue a career built upon helping others.
