Kathryn Burrows was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She earned her Honours Bachelor Degree in Political Science from the University of Ottawa before pursuing a Dual Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, obtaining both an Canadian and American law degree.
During her legal education, Kathryn developed a strong passion for family law and advocacy. As an active member of her school’s Family Law Club, she engaged in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation Competitions, refining her skills in negotiation and conflict resolution. Kathryn further strengthened her practical experience through several clinical placements, including the Juvenile Law Family Appellate Clinic. She also served as a Summer Student with Legal Aid Ontario’s family law division and completed an internship with The Valley Law Group during her final semester.
These formative experiences instilled in Kathryn a deep appreciation for the human side of law and reinforced her commitment to a client-centered and compassionate approach to advocacy.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Kathryn is an avid traveler who values learning from diverse cultures and perspectives. She has explored five of the seven continents and continues to seek new experiences that broaden her understanding of the world.
